Program Changes Ahead: The Energy Optimization program name and brand will be discontinued after December 31, 2021; utilities are currently evaluating options for energy efficiency programs in 2022 and beyond. If you are bidding on work to be completed after November 30 during this transition period, please plan to remove incentives from your estimates, invoices, and customer discussions. We ask for your patience as 2022 programs are developed; in the meantime, please help us prepare for a smooth transition and submit Energy Optimization program incentive applications as soon as possible. All equipment must be installed by November 30 and completed Energy Optimization program incentive applications and contractor reward applications must be submitted by December 15, 2021.
The Energy Optimization programs were created to assist Michigan businesses and residents in 13 participating utility territories in managing electricity use. We help connect these electric utility members and customers with local professionals who can help them select the best energy-efficient products and equipment and make energy efficiency improvements.
If you are a contractor, manufacturer, or retailer doing business in the Energy Optimization program service territory, it pays to enroll as a program trade ally!
