Presque Isle Electric & Gas Cooperative's Commercial and Industrial Services can help a variety of businesses curb their energy use. The program offers rebates on simple prescriptive measures or you can go full throttle with custom rebates for innovative and more complex energy efficient projects that are unique to your business.

What you get:

  • Prescriptive rebates for straight forward, pre-defined measures with pre-defined rebate amounts.
  • Custom rebates for innovative and more complex projects than those available through the prescriptive program.
Prescriptive rebates for businesses: The Energy Optimization commercial and industrial program provides rebates for the installation of energy efficient products and equipment. Prescriptive measures are a "one-for-one" rebate for the installation of high efficiency equipment, rebate amounts are pre-defined upfront. Specifications for eligible equipment are identified in the application.

Prescriptive Lighting Measures

  • Replacing incandescent lighting with CFLs.
  • Rebates on qualifying LEDs.
  • High performance T8 and reduced wattage T8 fluorescent lighting for office-type applications.
  • Replacing high bay metal halide, mercury vapor, and high pressure sodium fixtures with high bay T5 and T8 fluorescent fixtures.
  • Installing occupancy sensors.
  • Specialty lighting applications.

  • Variable speed drives for pumps and fans.
  • Food service equipment.

Custom rebates for businesses: The Energy Optimization commercial and industrial program provides rebates for the installation of innovative and unique energy efficient equipment. This allows for rebates that may not fit into the standard prescriptive measures and more appropriately meets the needs of a businesses specific operations and processes. Rebates are based on the annual energy savings (kWh/yr) forecasted.

Compressed Air Leak Audit and Repair: Also available to Presque Isle Electric & Gas Cooperative members, is an audit of your compressed air system. Determine current energy costs related to your compressed air system, potential steps for reducing energy usage, and rebates to repair compressed air leaks.

In order to qualify for custom rebates in the Commercial and Industrial Services program, applicants MUST obtain written approval prior to any installations. Please refer to the directions on the application form.
