About Energy Optimization

Twelve cooperative and municipal utilities are part of the Michigan Electric Cooperative Association (MECA) collaborative, a group of electric service providers that offer Energy Optimization programs. These programs reward your energy-saving actions!

Through Energy Optimization programs, you can:

Energy Optimization history
The MECA collaborative started offering Energy Optimization programs in 2009 after Michigan Public Act 295 was signed into law. This Act expanded energy-efficiency efforts with the goal of achieving greater energy security and better serving you. It also supports the development of clean and renewable energy and improving air quality.
